Attorney Brian M. Monk
Brian Monk has lived in the Central Florida area nearly his entire life. In 2000, he graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Business Management and a B.A. in Political Science. Thereafter, Brian earned a Law degree, a Master’s of Education degree and Specialist degree in counseling from the University of Florida. While in law school, Brian earned a Certificate in Family Law and was named a Fellow of the UF Law Center on Children and Families.

Laura E. Johnson
Laura Johnson obtained her Associates in Applied Science with an emphasis in Legal Assisting from Tyler Junior College in 1995. In 1999, Laura earned her C.L.A. (Certified Legal Assistant) designation from the National Association of Legal Assistants. She has years of experience working as a paralegal in the fields of family law, bankruptcy, real estate, and corporate law and contract law. Laura has continued her education with Liberty University and will soon earn her bachelor’s degree in Theology and Counseling. Laura is a current member of the National Association of Christian Counselors. Laura and her husband, Allen, have four children and two grandchildren.
Kary Procell obtained her Associates in Applied Science in Legal Studies from Kaplan University in 2011. Kary has years of experience working as a legal assistant in the fields of family law, bankruptcy, real estate, probate, wills and trusts, personal injury, criminal defense, corporate law and contract law. Kary joined Monk Law Firm as a Paralegal in July of 2016. Kary has been married for 18 years to her husband, Michael, and has two children.
Alton Burton is a recent graduate from Southeastern University, with a degree in History and Legal Studies. Alton will continue his education at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in Tampa, pursuing a JD in hopes of becoming a practicing attorney with the firm. He is originally from LaBelle, Florida and is excited to take the next step in fulfilling his dream of becoming an attorney.
Nick Cacciatore, Legal Assistant at Monk Law Firm and Graduate of Southeastern University with a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies. He is an Officer in the United State Army and is pursuing a JD at Florida A&M University College of Law. His passions include service to his country, community, and the great state of Florida. Nick began his work with Attorney Brian Monk as a Legal Assistant, in February of 2015.
Cheyanne Caswell is currently a sophomore at Florida Southern College. She is majoring in Political Science and Psychology with a minor in Pre-Law and Military Science. After obtaining her undergraduate, she hopes to attend law school in the Central Florida area and pursue a career in the JAG Corps, working close with family law. This will be her first experience working in her desired field, and she is excited to start with the hands-on learning part of her law education.
Andrew Knight recently graduated from Southeastern University with a degree in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies. He will continue his education at FAMU Law School in Orlando, pursuing a JD. Andrew grew up in Uganda and Kenya and has a heart for serving people. He started as Brian Monk's Legal intern, in November of 2016.
